3 reasons why there is no Elf on the Shelf in our family…

1️⃣I cannot commit! As a mama with 3 young kiddos, I do not need ANOTHER task on my plate in the evenings. Packing lunches, cleaning the kitchen and all the rest is enough.
2️⃣Our kiddos are making good choices because in our house we are committed to trying our best, we have normalized that making mistakes helps us grow and we are not going to start behaviour because “the elf is watching”.
3️⃣ Santa comes to our home and we are so grateful for presents, but it’s not the main reason for the season. We love to use it as an opportunity to give, practice kindness and make memorable memories with simple things. Think 90’s Christmas!

So, if you and your kiddos love your elf on the shelf life, we LOVE that for you, but it ain’t happening here and we’re all ok with it, the Christmas magic is still very strong ❤️🎄
